Thanks to one Ohio man, Mercer County deputies arrested James Baker, 34 of Spencerville Sunday after he and a friend attempted to break into a rural home occupied by the armed citizen not interested in becoming a victim.

Instead, he decided to become one of the good guys, holding two potential home intruders at gunpoint for the police.

WDTN2 News reported:

According to Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey, dispatchers received a call from a homeowner on Kittle Road just before 4:00 a.m. Sunday. The homeowner told dispatchers he caught two subjects on his property and he was holding them at gunpoint until deputies could arrive.

One of the men ran away before deputies arrived.

Deputies found what they believe to be methamphetamine, pills they suspect to be morphine, a bag of possible marijuana and equipment used for measuring drugs near a car driven by the suspect.
